I created this movement within the LGBTQIA+ community as an act of reappropriation. Growing up in a black household, I would hear variations of the expression, "Don't bring that gay shit around me." which made coming out impractical. I even started using it jokingly as a coping mechanism. But so many of us let fear, guilt, and shame prevent us from living as our true authentic selves. THAT GAY SHIT is for us to be unapologetically vulnerable. We deserve to let our internal work on ourselves be visible.
